10.22.2011: Your Kidneys

Amazingly, less than half of one kidney can do all the work that your two kidneys usually do! Your kidneys also function as glands that produce the hormones you need to build red blood cells and regulate blood pressure. They also keep the volume of water in your body constant, keep your blood’s acid base level constant, and maintain your calcium levels.
