  Welcome! Thank you for visiting!

  Who am I? I like to stay busy. While raising four children, I also held part-time jobs to keep up with the working world. I grew up in upstate New York, once considered playing the violin professionally, love the fall colors, and, one day, plan to visit the Grand Canyon.

  Have you ever tried to figure out the words to a song but sometimes just can’t figure out what the performer is singing? For more than a decade, I have been a medical transcriptionist. I love to figure these words out; it’s a brain tease. Some people think it is really boring, but I think of it as someone telling me a story for each person. Who doesn’t enjoy a story? I have met a lot of great physicians, physician assistants and family nurse practitioners. Each has their own style of telling a story. Sometimes it is short and sweet and sometimes detailed but always interesting.

  All of my life has included cats. At first, they were just domesticated pet cats. But, one day, my husband and I were leaving a grocery store and I saw a cat run by. I knew it wasn’t someone’s pet because there were no homes nearby. We followed it, and then discovered a colony of cats, about 15 of them. I didn’t know about TNR (trap, neuter, return), so I just cared for them the best I could. After nearly three years, some kittens later, Operation Catnip found me and helped out. We trapped them, had them sterilized and then returned them to be a managed colony. I am now a feral cat caregiver as well.

  I also manage my family history blog. My paternal grandparents are part of the United States "melting pot" and came from Germany while my great-maternal grandparents came from Canada. This blog just keeps growing and growing!

  Becoming a Notary Public is something I have always wanted. It is like connecting the dots. If you need a document notarized, I am able to do that and then you can take that document to the next step, wherever that may be. It is one way in which I may serve the community.
